Quadcopter Test Flight

Video of my Home Build Quadcopter, Testing PID variables.

Testing Flight after Experimenting with PID Settings, The Settings in this flight was:
Rate P: 0.25
Stab P: 2.9
Stab I: 0.035

It was a bit sensative, so the plan is to lower Stab P, and increase Rate P.

1.3Kg, 30cm from motor to motor, 12 cm Height.

Getting an idea of flying RC Planes

As I have no experience in RC Flying I decided to get a RC Plane just to get a feel for the controls, flying a model airplane, etc. I Bought my self a Nine Eagles Sky 500 from Granprix Models and went flying. It took me about a day to get the hang of it, after breaking the tale and getting dirt into the gear box causing the prop to stick fortunatly the airplane could be fixed easily with tape and cleaning the gears.

Quatrocopter Tutorial

Building a Quatrocopter from scratch with no RC Flying experience seemed impossible at first but with the help of Scout UAV an excellent web site that explains step by step how to build one, I really could start getting an idea of what is involved.
